Exclusive Interview with Authors James Patterson and Maxine Paetro on Their New Blockbuster, Woman of God by Beth Moroney

In an extraordinary stroke of fortune, I was contacted by the dynamic author, Maxine Paetro, famous for her work with James Patterson in the Women’s Club Murder series, after I posted my review of Swimsuit a few weeks agoThrough our passion for writing, Maxine and I have forged a bond for which I am extremely grateful and humbled, and she allowed me a personal interview with questions regarding the new novel, Woman of God, co-authored with one of America’s foremost literary giants, James Patterson. I will admit that I posed some tough questions for Maxine and James (she did refer the questions to him for me) because Woman of God is a different and unusual type of book for this writing team. Maxine also graciously included an unpublished photo taken by John Duffy, her husband, to include with this interview.

Author Diane Capri reveals Maxine Paetro (and James Patterson)

I caught Maxine dashing past during a brief writing break this afternoon and grabbed these revealing answers to readers’ questions.

Diane Capri: Okay, Maxine. Spill the whole truth. We’re dying here. Millions of readers worldwide already know that James Patterson is an amazing storyteller. But what’s it really like to work with him?

Maxine Paetro: It’s amazing! *Laughs* A real pleasure to be on his team and I feel grateful every day for the opportunity. I wish I could give you some secret dirt, but as everyone’s long suspected, Jim’s got a generous heart and a huge brain brimming with great ideas that just keep coming. Almost like magic, really. He’s been a great friend forever. And he’s just a funny, funny dude. *Laughs*
